Following a career in public service delivery, in 2023 Richard founded “Time Machine Designs” to develop digital heritage products, initially for the flight simulation community.
Following the launch of Hadrian’s Wall 180, the world’s first digital reconstruction of the entire Hadrian’s Wall system as it may have appeared c180CE, his focus has broadened to include the application of landscape digital twins and gaming technologies to heritage engagement, learning and research.
Reflecting his own PhD research at the University of Bristol, Richard is joining the humanities for … team to investigate the intersections of digital technology, gaming, heritage, learning and public engagement, as well as contribute his experience in public policy design and delivery.
