Lucy Heard

Audience Development Officer

Lucy Heard

At Bath Spa University, my role is Audience Development Officer, supporting cultural events and experiences across the University and within the City of Bath.

In my broader work, I cross-pollinate arts, health, and environmental practices, exploring how creativity can support collective wellbeing, placemaking and cultural change.

My work sits somewhere between policy and arts practice — from co-producing NHS mental health guidance to developing forest-based wellbeing programmes and embedding rest/care within organisational structures.

I’m particularly interested in how embodied, sensory, and ecological ways of knowing can inform leadership, governance, and public engagement. My current projects include collaborations with artists, researchers, and communities to imagine more equitable and responsive cultural infrastructures.

I’m always keen to connect with others exploring the intersections of health, environment, and creative practice — especially those rethinking how we live and make meaning together.
